OVERALL PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Space The Residence is a six storey building with a total of 49 residential units, serviced by two lifts. It also contains six retail shop tenancies, three office suites, a gymnasium, a pool and a spa.

Facing onto the the Esplanade, the building overlooks the magnificent Maroochy River and enjoys views of the Pacific Ocean. There is a choice of one, two and three bedroom apartments, offering a range of layouts to suit individual requirements.

 The aim of the project is to provide larger apartments with spaces that are functional, have clean lines and are full of light. The apartments are designed as spacious homes: highly appealing places to live comfortably with style and amenity.

Space, The Residence, has been conceived through a First Principles design process. An approach that achieved a rare level of quality, through a combination of architectural insight, innovation and integrity.

The building forms and architectural expression are uncompromisingly modern with clean, bold lines and a simplicity that will endure.  The play of light and shadow across the crisp white exterior elevations enhances the sophisticated composition of surface textures. The exterior materials have been selected to reinforce the modern forms of the building, reduce maintenance and ensure that the building will maintain their crispness over many years of exposure to the rigours of the Maroochydore's climate.

INTERIOR DESIGN

Interior spaces are an extension of the simple but refined exterior architectural language. Their tangible elegance of clean lines and subtle surfaces create the intangible - a feeling of calmness and contentment. Finesse and style merged in a fluent expression of interior design accomplishment and craftsmanship.

The apartment layouts and large balconies provide an exceptional indoor and outdoor living environment.

The final resolution is refined space reflecting the beauty of simplicity.

SECURITY AND PRIVACY

The highest priority has been given to designing safe and secure living environments. Resident car parking is in a secure basement arrangements with direct access to secure internal building areas from the car park levels. A security card controlled lift and intercom system provides total security and privacy.

PRACTICAL PLANING

Each apartment type has a floor plan that is clearly liveable. There is room to move in all the right places. Personal experience is evident in the planing. The kitchens are designed by an architect who cooks and knows where best to locate appliances for function, efficiency and aesthetics. The wet areas too are meticulously planned to maximise storage and useability. Natural cross ventilation is also facilitated through the considered arrangement of spaces and the building exterior shape.
